Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 begins after Dark Raiden decapitates the defeated Elder God Shinnok, an act that angers Kronika—the Keeper of Time and Shinnok’s mother—who decides to rewrite history to erase Raiden from existence. She manipulates the timeline by bringing past versions of characters to the present, creating chaos as heroes and villains meet their younger selves and learn of their dark fates. Earthrealm and Outworld forces must unite to assault Kronika’s Keep before she can reset the entire timeline. The story culminates with Liu Kang becoming the Fire God after defeating Kronika, choosing to restart history with Raiden as his mortal advisor, setting the stage for the Aftermath expansion where Shang Tsung betrays everyone to steal Kronika’s power.
