Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite begins in December 2559 when the UNSC ship Infinity is ambushed at Installation 07 by the Banished, and Master Chief is defeated in single combat by their leader Atriox and left floating in space. Six months later, a UNSC pilot rescues the Chief and together they return to the damaged Zeta Halo where Chief discovers “the Weapon”—an AI designed to imitate Cortana who successfully captured her but failed to self-delete as programmed. As Chief battles Banished forces led by War Chief Escharum across the ring’s open-world environment, he uncovers that Cortana sacrificed herself to stop Atriox and destroyed the Brute homeworld Doisac before her death. The Chief must defeat Escharum, the Elite assassin Jega ‘Rdomnai, and the mysterious Harbinger who seeks to release the Endless—an ancient race imprisoned by the Forerunners that she claims are more dangerous than the Flood.
