7 Days to Die

7 Days to Die takes place after a Third World War in 2034 where nuclear strikes devastated Earth and the Septdiurnal Virus (SDV) transformed survivors into zombies who die within seven days and reanimate as bloodthirsty undead. You play as a survivor in Navezgane County—ironically meaning “Killer of Monsters” in Apache—one of the last habitable zones, where you must gather resources, build fortifications, and fend off increasingly aggressive zombie variants. The lore reveals you failed to pay “the Duke,” a bandit warlord who controls the region, resulting in you being robbed and left for dead before being found by a mysterious person named Noah who leaves survival supplies. Every seventh night brings the Blood Moon, when massive zombie hordes relentlessly attack your location en masse, requiring careful preparation and strong defenses to survive.
